The nose is full of herbaceous notes of nettle, cut grass and a hint of asparagus. Fresh aromas of French lemon, green capsicum and passionfruit lead through on to the palate. A light bodied wine with firm acid and juicy, mouthwatering finish.
Winemaker Notes:
The 2019 Sherwood Sauvignon Blanc was harvested from our Stirling, Georges Road and Church Road vineyards in the Waipara Valley. Only the most premium fruit was selected for this wine. Following harvest the fruit was gently pressed, allowed to settle and cool fermented for 21 days. Three months of lees contact has imparted a depth of fruit flavour. The parcels of wine were then blended before being lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling. The finished wine is delicate displaying fine fruit flavours and bright acidity.
